Ergin GENÇER (President)
Ergin GENÇER, born in Polatlı in 1985, has participated in various national and international projects within several non-governmental organizations. In 2023, he co-founded the Education, Culture, Cooperation, and Project Development Association (EKİP) with his colleagues and currently serves as its president. He graduated from several state universities, including Ankara Gazi University, with degrees
in machine technology, technical teaching, mechanical engineering, and economics. A member of the Ankara Sailing Club, Gencer is also a licensed cyclist, rowing athlete, and holds an amateur sailor certificate. Mechanical Engineer Gencer completed his master’s thesis on “The Impact of Quality
Management Systems and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems on Workplace Accidents and Occupational Diseases in the Manufacturing Sector.” He has a keen interest in Latin dances and holds a Youthpass certificate. Gencer has volunteered in numerous national and international social responsibility projects and has been awarded Certificates of Appreciation from various institutions and embassies. He is proficient in English and has a basic knowledge of Greek. At the same time, Mechanical Engineer Gençer is a member of the R&D and Project Board of the Turkiye Underwater Sports Federations and also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Polatlı Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association.
Att Dr Dinçer ÇERİBAŞ (Vice President)
Born in Mersin in 1985, Attorney Dr. Dinçer Çeribaş resides in Ankara. Çeribaş serves as a legal advisor and is a graduate of Kırıkkale University Faculty of Law. He completed his master’s thesis titled “Sports Law Disputes and Resolution Methods” in 2020 and his doctoral thesis titled “Financial Auditing of Sports Clubs and Sports Joint Stock Companies” in 2024. An expert mediator, Çeribaş has worked with numerous prominent national and international sports federations. He is currently the Vice President of the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation, the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Turkish Sailing Federation, and a member of the World Sailing Governance Committee, an international sports federation. He has participated in numerous international symposiums in the fields of sports law and sports management and has authored several academic works in these areas. As part of the Council of Europe’s “Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals” program, he holds a certificate as a “Human Rights Trainer in Sports.” Çeribaş is proficient in English.
Hamit DEMİR (General Secretary – Board Member)
Born in 1992 in Ankara without both hands and both feet, Hamit Demir, a Board Member of our Association, is an individual with high motivation who has overcome many challenges. He began swimming in 2009. A Paralympic National Athlete and World Champion, Demir graduated from Gazi University with a degree in International Relations and completed his master’s thesis on “The Constitutional and Legal Rights of People with Disabilities.” Since starting his swimming career in 2009, he has achieved numerous international and national successes, earning nearly 100 medals. Demir has had documentaries aired on national channels, including Anadolu Agency. As a motivational speaker, he has delivered talks on life struggles, the determination for success, and similar topics at various institutions and universities, primarily in the field of sports. Alongside his work as a speaker, Demir, with a team of seven people who are also physically disabled like himself, performs theatrical plays at municipal theaters. He holds a black belt in karate and has participated in successful musical competitions as well.
Hüseyin AY (Accountant)
Hüseyin AY graduated from Maltepe University’s Psychological Counseling Department in 2009. He is currently working as a Psychological Counselor and Guidance Teacher at a public school in Ankara. He has received training in Psychological Testing from various institutions. Additionally, AY completed his Family Counseling training at Eastern Mediterranean University and received Performance Counseling training from the Turkish Football Federation. He has volunteered in numerous national and international non-governmental organizations and holds a Youthpass certificate. AY is proficient in English.
Aykut YILMAZ (Board Member)
Board Member Aykut YILMAZ was born in 1987 in Istanbul. A sports instructor, YILMAZ provides private one-on-one sports lessons and also works as a basketball, badminton coach and group sports activities trainer. He graduated from Kırıkkale University’s Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching in 2009. In 2016, he won first place in the Athletic Physique Bodybuilding competition. He operates a sports facility in Izmir and is proficient in English.
Murat ŞAHİN (Chairman of the Supervisory Board)
Murat Şahin, holds three bachelor’s degrees and two associate degrees, including a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Gazi University. He has served on the Disciplinary and Auditing Boards of various non-governmental organizations and associations. Additionally, he has obtained certifications in areas such as business organization, environment, and quality from various certification companies. Şahin has volunteered in social responsibility projects as part of the Social Sensitivity Project Group at Gazi University. A professional camper, he has a strong interest in history, geography, and tourism. He is also proficient in English.
